I am looking for an HSC GURU. I have a customer who cannot get HSC to recognise the LMU ports after a problem which occurred during an IPL and they switched LMUs. The MVS software can see all ports but HSC does not recognise them.
Is the only answer to reloads HSC? They are running HSC 6.1 a vary off of ACS 0 and vary on again did not fix the problem. Any ides would be appreciated.

So what happens when you try to vary on the station to HSC? For example:

vary station xxxx online (force)

It will either work or you get an SLS message explaining the failure.

I have presumed we're talking about a coax (3278) connection, rather than TCP/IP. Also, is there any chance the slave LMU was added the initial hardware install and is not in the HSC config? Has a switch EVER worked in the recent past?
