Problem: I've got a range of 4480/90 M22 Standalone & Scratch loaders with 4 Controllers. They are physically numbered by the Tape Op.s to support their numbering scheme.ie B20 to BXX

Question: How do I relate a Drive or Drive frame to a Controller ie.
when I enter Maint & select device how do I know which one.
seems stupid I know, but the only way I could do it is by placing a drive offline.Cheers.

nunney,

The controllers are usually cross coupled so it doesn't matter which one you use to run tests.

You get the drive address by walking over to the drive and checking the id of the thumb wheel switch next to the air hoses on the back of the transport. If it says 2 for example, go back to the controller and select 2.

Thanks STKMAN, I should have known that!!
