Help! It's happened again, I unplugged the usb lead from the back of the computer because a colleague of mine wanted to borrow it. I plugged it back in again.....and!

STIMON caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 0177:bff7b997.

So far I have.

1)uninstalled and reinstalled the canon software.

2) removed and let windows replace the usb device

3) SFC'd Stimon.exe and Kernel32.dll

4) removed the registry links as described in If I had a 4 ton weight, I would enjoy dropping it on the computer. Can anyone help? With a crane if nothing else!
