I have been looking at our system and even though the system was rebooted 1 day ago and the system date is correct, I get users with a stime of dec31. What is this and how can I fix it to give there real login time?

this is my output ps -ef | grep -i Dec

UID PID PPID C STIME TTY TIME CMD
-------------------------------------------------------
oracle 25264 142348 0 Dec 31 - 0:00 []

Login time info is kept in /var/adm/wtmp

You can zero this file '>/var/adm/wtmp' then new information will be written when the users next login
