System A:
BCM400 V4.0.
Calls to telebank come in on Ground Start T1 and are forwarded(redirect) to system B via VoIP(H323)

System B:
BCM400 V3.5
Calls to telebank are pointed to a digital extension which has an ATA connected to analog port on the telebank machine.

The above scenario will not pass DTMF to the telebank. It receives the call, answers but will not hear the tones.

If I redirect the calls from system A to B over E&M T1 everything works fine.

Customer wants these calls to go over VoIP and remove the E&M.

Extension to extension calls work fine.

How canI pass DTMF through the ATA to the telebank over VoIP?

Or could I point these calls to an ASM port instead and get rid of the ATA?

I don't believe ATAs will pass DTMF to the station side. You may want to look into a VMI (Voice Mail Interface), basically two ATAs in one unit, and is designed to pass digits..

I've been told that there is a patch for 3.5 for this issue. I can't seem to find it. Anyone know about this?
