have a win7 server with 5.0 I would like to upgrade to 5.2 and beyond to enable tables for now and ws6 in future.

Have software prereq and versions. are the prereq required?

I know with 4.0 you could jump some versions to move up.

Thanks in advance.

To enable tables? Do you mean like a table layout? Because that is supported.

Anyway.. yes, you can directly install the 5.2 cumulative update. You don't need to do each MR. After that, you can skip the hot fixes and do each MR and it will include the previous, though you can't go straight to MR3 and have to do MR1, MR2 first, if I'm remembering the docs correctly. Basically you can install directly to the cumulative updates, but have to do the minor updates in order.

Also yes, install the pre-reqs first. They changed the version of SQL Anywhere with 5.2 (I think it was 5.2 that they changed it) and that is what the pre-reqs are for.
