Dear friends,

I have an ibm xSeries 255 and a controller raid 7k with 3 HDD scsi (73Go)(raid 5) and i want to test the raid?
Could you tell me what are the steps ?
I think i remove one HDD when the server is runing, and test if the server state is good, datas also, and after plug the disk and leave it to synchronize with other disks!?
Is it corrrect?

Thank's a lot.
Best regards.

7k doesnt work in an x255. Perhaps a 6M? Is this a live server? Messing with an online array isnt suggested if you value your data. However, if you insist, use ServeRAID Manager and set one of the drives Defunct. Then set it back online and a rebuild should start. You can just pull it out and stick it back in but its not recommended.
