Hello,
Am looking to create and provision storage using SYMCLI, can any one please explain the steps/procedure to me, you don't have to be very detailed, I will appreciate the CLI syntaxs ,I will also like to know when to mask a device and then map the device to a wwn .. and the steps for zoning too (mcdata or brocade ) using CLI steps and when should zoning be done .
Thanks !

You'll have to do the following:
(Refer to the SymCLI Configuration Guide on Powerlink for syntax if you need to.)

1. Create the hyper devices.
(create dev...)
2. (If required) Meta the devices.
(form meta...)
3. Map to device(s) to appropriate Fibre Adapters(FA).
(map dev XXX to dir...)
4. Zoning on the switches (Can be done before step 1 if you like)
5. Mask devices to wwn (assuming you're using VCM)
(symmask command)
6. Rescan your host to pick up device(s).
