steps in transfering mailboxes from exchange 5.5 to exchange 2000

hi. i m new in this. i will like to ask if i have a new microsoft exchange 2000 server. how do i transfer old mailboxes from the old exchange 5.5 server to the new machine wif microsoft exchange 2000 server. what are the steps exactly? i am new to this n this is quite urgett pls help thanx alot
