Step by Step Moving IMC / IMS

Does anyone have a step by step for moving the IMC / IMS from an old Exchange 5.5 to a new 5.5 server. Both are in the same site etc and we will use NAT on the firewall to handle the smtp routing.
What about Public Folders / will this cause problems for exchange routing
