i have a series of reports that i have been building that has some print time formulas charted in a subreport. I use CR 2008 and my datasource is SQL.My dificulty is i now need to chart on StdDev, Median, Mode etc for the values.i tried passing all the values to the subreport so i could do a StdDev in the subreport, but of course it can't. Any suggestions on how to best accomplish this? Should i manually calculate this in the main report and then pass it on? I found some links for manually calculating StdDev by synapsevampire but the links are broken. Median and Mode i don't know. Are there better solutions? Thanks in advance.

Running totals should include these. The use of Crystal's automated totals is outlined at FAQ767-6524.

I can't do Running totals of print time formulas, it is not an option.

It should be. Maybe the field is not viewed as a real date, in which case Cdate would fix it.

If you don't have access to those summaries in the chart expert (because you are using print-time formulas), you will have to do the calculations manually--I would guess in the main report, with the results passed into the subreport for charting.

Yes thanks LB, i need to do the calculations manually, as i said in my first post they are print-time formulas. Any thougts on how to do the StdDev, Mode, Median manually?

There are threads on calculating a median. Not sure about references to mode or standard deviation. I'm reluctant to even venture suggestions since I know you are using print-time formulas--whatever the reason for that, it will likely make these calculations that much more complicated.
