Status of Shipment- ideas?

Ok we have prgression v7.6.400b

Any ideas how to solve this .. we have a order entry system that is very slow because we are entering orders twice. Once in Macola once in a access database because our Order entry department get calls from customers all the time asking for status of order, and Macola doesnt let you edit an order once its been invoiced so we need to know how to do this? Any ideas?

We have to tell customers 3 things : date shipped, not shipped, tracking numbers of orders

The shipped date is in Macola, as is the status if it is not shipped. I would then get starship to interface with your UPS and/or Fedex system, which writes the tracking # to the order header.

Then dump the Access database, there is no need to keep it.
