I have an m2616 and an m2008 on my desk. They both have the same PDN and rollover. I have the 2008 so that when i am on hold with AT&T for hours i can still use the other phone. How come, if I am on the 2008 and i stat that TN it shows BUSY, but so does the M2616 TN? If the M2616 handset is in the cradle why does that TN show as BUSY too? thank you.

You should see the Primary DN lit up on both phones, unless you have them programmed as MCR keys. If the DN is lit on the phone that is NOT being used, then the TN is infact busy. That is why you are seeing this. Change the SCR keys to MCR keys and this will go away.

Instead of stat-ing the TN try tracing the Second Tn. You will find that it is idle if no one is one the phone. Go to LD 80 and trace the TN

all digital phones via nrtl. will show bsy when any key is lit via a dn. liike the others if you trace it it will not be in use.

The TN isn't busy, it's the KEY that is busy. That's the way it's supposed to work.

I sent last post too soon. Perhaps you can use forward no answer instead. Change your CDB OPT to CFF and maybe you can change one of your CFNs to 1 so that the phone will only ring once. ALso make CLS on set CFXA
