Statspack Report Snapshot ID 1

When running a statspack report and it prompts you for

1. The beginning snapshot Id
2. The ending snapshot Id

Can you put anything/number in for this?

Or do you get them from somewhere?

I am having problems generating a report by putting any old number in.... Many Thanks!

You can't select any number and expect to get a valid report. Statspack is expecting you to enter one of the snapshot ids generated during an execution of the procedure statspack.snap. If you haven't gathered statistics yet, you won't be able to produce a report.

When you run statsrep.sql ,you should get a list of available snapshot ids. Select a beginning and ending id, and an output file, and the report will run.
