Help required please

I have three columns, one with departments (some duplicated) and the other with numbers of Users, the final is by location. These are text, number and text columns.

What Im trying to do is produce stats by the number of same departments, total number of users
E.g.
MArketing 2users newcastle
Marketing 5users sunderland
HR 10users newcstle
HR 20users brazil
HR 1 user london

I want a report to say Marketing total 6 users, HR 31 users

Any ideas folks??

All help is very much appreciated

Kane

VBA or Copy&Paste to Excel.

Here's a tip for future reference:

Project is great for project schedules; not so good for spreadsheets.

Thanks for response PDBAch

Was hoping for an easier solution but not to worry

PS if you copy and paste from MSP into Excel and then try and add up the figures Excel doesnt like the format youve pasted it in, you may have to do a paste special and paste values only which may resolve it

Cheers for the response anyway

VBA is a fairly easy solution and you can customize it to do it exactly the way you want.

Copy&Paste: Yeah, it's such a pain having to do the paste and then go back and make a few edits or do the paste-special which is why I mentioned VBA first.
