STATPAD Add-in : ChartArea Height Property

I have a problem using the STATPAD Addin (Statistical package - can find easily on the Internet) with Excel2002.

Upon making a graph, I get the error "Cannot set the Height property of the ChartArea class" (actual error msg might be slightly different - I use a Japanese version).

This error does not occur with Excel97/Excel2000.

Any ideas ?

Hi,

I downloaded the add-in and tried to reproduce the problem. I could not find how to get the tool to make a graph. What steps are you using to reproduce the problem?

Also, when I downloaded the add-in, there are two files included, statpad_office2k.xla and statpad.xla. Are you using the latest version? I got this version from:

Once I get repro steps, I can continue troubleshooting.

Surely the user is better off contacting statpad's makers direct?

Since it's an .xla you probably won't be able to view source code, and I think you'd really need to be able to see what the source code is first before establishing what the problem is.

I don't know what sort of warranty is involved since it could well be freeware, but I'm sure they'd want to know about any bugs that are found.

Hi,

I downloaded the version from the site you indicated and statpad_office2k.xla works for Excel2002.

This was an add-in delivered together with a book on Statistics. I looked on the site of the author but did not find any updates there.

As the problem seemed quite obvious (ChartArea Height Property), I suspected that the problem lay within Excel rather than the Add-in.

Problem solved. Thanks !!
