I have a station that only rings once (briefly) before diverting to the cover path (and there is a long period when the call has no ringing tone and the call doesn't connect to the first station in the path for a while).

Cover path tests OK with other stations.
Other working cover paths do not work on this station.

Has anyone come across this problem before (and if so what is the solution)?

Check to see if they have send all calls or go-to cover activated, (usually a button programmed on their phone.) When these are activated the phone will give a short half ring and then go to cover.

tkinney has you in the right direction. Do a status station and it will probably show that send all calls is activated. It can be activated by a button or system wide feature access codes.

Problem has been identified, and was as stated, but caused by an interesting scenario (well it had me foxed).

Station used to be digital, but due to office move was for a short time changed to analogue, and then back to digital. All button assignments were lost, and the template was not reapplied. This meant that "Send all calls" was not indicated on the station, and could not be reset until the buttons had been reassigned.
Thanks for the responses.

It's good practice when changing stations from digital to analog and vise-versa is to remove them completly and then recreating them as new stations. This will prevern corruption of files.
