is there a way to tell if a station module is bad?

Thanks in Advance

dvannoy,

Best to call a vendor who has experience in trouble shooting fiber expansion card/ fiber DS 30 cable/ expansion module issues. There is no one thing to look for here. Lots of steps in this one. Properly done, your KSU gets shut down at some point during this kind of trouble shooting. Timing is important.

A quick check of the power indication light on the effected module would be a good first step.

Yaa I checked each module and do have the red light on. I was just wondering if there was a log entry that gets recorded for something like this.

is there a way to look at what module a extension is on?

dvannoy,

Yes in a way. But you have to know the logical punch down in the wiring closet for CO truncks, and stations. In Maintenance you will find a 'module' status report, but again, you will have to understand the logical set up of the KSU.

Do you have a bunch of phones that are out of service?
