Is anyone familiar with nortel routers and their programming? We were given vague instructions on programming a PC that contacts the internet through a Nortel Router, pointing to our Main Office. Is there a specific place were 'static routes' would be set up in the Router itself?

It really depends on the router where such things are stored - some do not store static routes, and I am unfamiliar with that model.

Many routers allow http access, which is great for easy navigation. If you were given instructions for web access to your routerm then yours (obviously) does.

You may be able to telnet into its CLI, in which case, if your router has a programmable routing table, this should be straightforward - if you have the manual to hand with the necessary CLI commands listed.

Sorry to be vague - I am only familiar with a relatively small range of routers. Maybe if you list the model name/number I could dig up more info.

Hope this helps CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk
