Hi, has anyone ever created static routes between two offices using dsl modem features?

I am trying to setup XLink Kai for use with XBox 360 to play games in System Link mode but Microsoft blocked out system connection with ping > 30ms. XLink is, essentially, a VPN (correct me if I am wrong) and works really slow. User I am trying to connect to lives less than 2 miles away. I was wondering if it is possible to assist Xlink in forwarding to speed things up.

Is it possible to come up with better routing than ISP's routers? Does this make sence?

If any one know of a better way, let me know.

Thanks!
