I have a 2430 router with software ver 15.1, and I have yet to get a new site manager. The question is how do I setup a static route from the command line prompt.

[1:1]$

router ip address 172.16.14.1 255.255.255.0
Wan ip 172.16.255.54 next hop 172.16.255.53 Jeter@LasVegas.com

Hello,

You need to pass in BCC (Bay Command Console) mode...Type BCC when you are logged in telnet on your router
After you've bcc> prompt..type config...once you type it you arrived with these prompt box# or stack#
Type ip and after you can create your static route
ip# static-route Address/NetMask Value/NextHop
You can type ? for command help.

Bye

hi,
to define static route using command line prompt you can do it using Bcc,
login to bcc and then write config
you will get the prompt box#
then to define a static route, go to the global IP prompt (for example, box; ip) and
enter:
static-route address <destination> mask <ip_mask> next-hop-address
<next_hop>

bye

Thanks guys I will do that asap. Jeter@LasVegas.com
