we are having issues with static on recordings. the agent or customer cant hear it but when we do a play back we here the static. we have already changed out everything on the avaya side and now they want us to change the cuplers?
I'm assuming this is digital station side. What is the distance from the logger to the frame? how are these phones tapped (double jumpered on the MDF or splitters etc). Is this on all extns or specific telco cables or cards. What you need to find is a common point of failure i.e card, cable etc.
If you are double jumpered on the frame try connecting an extn directly to the frame (disconnect floor port jumper) and see if this extn still has static.
