Static on Auto Attend & DXD

I have a Partner II v 4.1 Every night, at random times, the Automated Attendant message & the DXD message are wiped out & become nothing but static. Also, the cover button on every handset clicks off, so no calls are covered w/ respect to voice mail. I've searched through many areas of various websites for a documented problem resolution & can't find anything. Each morning I have to rerecord the AA & DXD message as well as reset the cover buttons on every phone. Then every night the pattern repeats. I've contacted a couple of Partner dealers for support & they can't seem to determine why this would happen. Anybody got any ideas?

Hi mevolru,
Your memory backup battery is bad. It is a 3.6 V three terminal nicad. The same type that was used in early 386 / 486 computers. They are still made by Varta and should cost around $10.00 CDN + or - a couple dollars. The battery is located on the daughter board in a corner. It's probably blue in colour.
Record what is left of your system program if it hasn't been corrupted already because you are about to lose everything.
