I setup a NAT on my router for a Public IP and allowed port forwarding on all ports. I ran a BCM monitor and can see that the ports are connecting properly. I cannot get any speech paths in either direction. What could this possibly be? This is a new carrier, we just switched and the phones were working fine prior ro switching. I checked with the ISP and they said no ports are blocked on there end. Any suggestions?

are you talking remote ip set to remote ip set no speech path?

Its on all calls. Inbound calls, outbound calls, remote IP sets to remote IP set, local IP set to remote IP set, local digital sets. All the local IP sets work fine. Its only the 3 remote phones that have no speech path in any direction.

Did you allow RTP port forwarding as well as TCP? The call would setup using TCP then the actual voice would need RTP to be natted.

Well I beleive it is. The only 2 protocols available are UDP and TCP. I port forwarded 51000-51200 and 28000-28255. Is there anything else that I might be missing?

Really? I usually use VPN or a direct public address this is my first experience using NAT for voice and it hasn't been a pleasant one.

you are now seeing the results first hand of hanging your sets on the internet.

sooooooo much easier and better via vpn.
