Has anyone ever experienced an issue where you have a ststic IP set on your server and then one day it is set back to dynamic? This happened to me last week and brought the whole company down. This serve is a terminal server and DNS.

I had that problem, reinstalled the newest NIC drivers, didnt fix, disabled McAfee, tried setting the IP again, it changed (finally, was pulling my hair out), renabled Virus protection and it seemed to work fine from there on out... Weird indeed.

Cory,
So your virus software caused you IP to change from static to dynamic? Did you find out why that happened?

No idea what the quirk was, there we some engine updates the day prior, I chalk these things up to the winds of change. Typically in my experience if something is driving you bonkers cause you know your doing it right, try disabling/uninstalling anti virus for a bit and try again. The newest Symantec agent for their CPS locked up our DC periodically and we got them on the phone and they issued 4 different builds before they got anything that would work.
