Hi All,
Search is still down. My client has a small peer to peer and is adding a new POS system. The current configuration consists of 5 workstations, and GNet Internet Gateway IP0006 using DHCP and a cable modem. Simple, works great.
What we need to add is 3 new workstations with static IP addresses. One of the current workstations will also have additional software installed to serve the new workstations. This "server" (not server OS), will need to access the 3 POS workstations using static IP, meanwhile it will also need to access the cable modem for internet access.
The 3 new POS workstations do not need to access the internet or other workstations in the peer to peer.
I was wondering if it is possible to install a second NIC on the "server" workstation have that NIC configured with a static IP while the other NIC uses DHCP.
If not, any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Desiree
