I've installed 2 Server 2008 Standard Server on a 2003 domain (test) everything works great except when I give the servers a static IP address. The servers lose connectivity to the internet and can only Access: Local Only, when I change them back to DHCP Access: Local and Internet are granted. Where is this setting/blocking coming from? The Windows Firewall is OFF.

Probably a stupid question, are you definatlety setting the gateway and dns server address correctly. eg if you do an ipconfig when the server get it's dhcp addresses are the default gateway and DNS server addresses the same as the static ones you are entering?

Jeez man, your a genius. I wonder how I'm a Network Admin sometimes. I'm so used to putting in DNS and WINs as the same IP, I used it without even thinking of the proper Gateway IP. Thanks for making me double check.
