Systems B, C, D, E (BCM400 4.0)all connect to or through system A via VOIP, h.323. Jitter buffer is auto, payloads are 30, 30, 30. Customer still complains of intermitant "static" on calls.
I spend a couple days making test calls adn actually heard "white noise", and a lot of garbled words, like lost packets. However, I only heard it on the side of the call that returns to or through site A, as if the port on the network switch was failing.
Here are the steps I've taken to correct the problem:
1) Upgraded 3.5 systems to 4.0
2) Applied current patches
3) Replaced network connection to switch with Cat6
4) Changed port on network switch
5) Changed form LAN2 to LAN1 and back
6) Grounded cabinet to good earth ground
7) Power cycled System A
8) Power cycled netwok switch
9) Power cycled router
The last possible cause could possibly be a copy machine that sits on the other side of a wall, about 10 feet away from the BCM400. This will be moved next week.
Any suggestions?
