Does anyone know how to remove the statd messages on a Sun NFS server which always point to SGI clients only?
Looks like the Sun server cannot find the SGI clients to tell them it is back up again if they had active mounts across to this server during the time the server went down and up again
message on the Sun NFS server looks like this
eusunts014:statd[3142]:statd: cannot talk to statd at 161.102.16.147
eusunts014: last message repeated 1 time
notice that it cannot resolve the hostname and always refers to an I.P address. This I.P address is always for an SGI client and never for a Sun client
Perhaps the SGI clients need some additional NFS client config setting to talk back to the SUn NFS server?
Thanks for your attention
