stat-queued sendmail problem

Hi I wonder if anyone can help with this problem.

We have set up a new webserver and it should send out mail. It is a dedicated server and I have some access to the configuration. My php script appears to work fine, and the mail appears to be sent, however,the logs show the following,

Oct 18 14:22:49 dedicated sendmail[7178]: i9IIMn4V007868: to=fff@schooletc.com, delay=00:00:00, mailer=esmtp, pri=30171, dsn=4.4.3, stat=queued

However, using the webmin interface, nothing shows as queued. I am not sure what to check next, any ideas would be very gratefully received.
