Absolutely!
To get your Welcome window to be your workspace, inbox, calendar, or whatever, navigate to the icon associated with the file/database. Use the right mouse button to click on the icon and select "Set bookmark as Home Page" on the pop-up menu. I use the icon buttons on the vertical toolbar on the R5 frame to my left . In your case, you should go to the "databases" icon there(looks like a book on top of a folder). Open it, then find the workspace icon. Use this icon in the procedure.
You can use this on any other icon to swap the appearance of the Home Page (aka Welcome Page) around. To return to the original page, go to the "Favorite Bookmarks" folder icon, open it, and right click on the "Welcome" icon, and so on.
