Hello,
I'm working on a "refresh/clone" database app in Java. I have seen a lot of examples with the Runtime.exec(), but I can't seem to find any that show me how to startup/shutdown the database. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Work out how you startup/shutdown a database in your OS, and then use Runtime.exec() to spawn a native process to do it ...
