Hi
I'm running Pervasive V8 as part of Maximizer 8. Maximizer doc says to start up the workgroup engine by putting W3DBSMGR.EXE -SDRE in STARTUP. However, I just ran the upgrade to V8.6 and it changed the startup to W3DBSMGR.EXE, without the -SDRE switch.
What are the valid switches and what do they mean?
Is it possible, or is there an advangage, to running it as a service instead, so I don't see the tray icon?

thanks,
Peter

With Pervasive.SQL V8, the -SRDE is the correct switch, with 8.6, it seems that's the default so there's no need for the -SRDE.
THe only advantage to running the Workgroup as a service is that you don't see the tray icon.
