I'm a newbie!

My school has a Netware6 server SP2 with a variety of Win95 and Win98 workstations. On one of the Win98 pcs I tried to place a shortcut in the startup folder, so that a particular program would automatically start up every time the computer was switched on. The program is simply a Kodak app for the school's digital cameras. The shortcut disappears when the pc is rebooted. Do I have to use Snapshot or is there a quicker method. I have a similar problem with placing printer icons onto a computer's desktop which has a local printer attached on lpt1. (Not an NDPS printer.

Hope somebody can offer some advice.

Many thanks.
