STARTTLS cert will expire soon

HI,

we are currnetly running exchange 2007 on a single 2008 server.

Over the last couple of day we are getting the following errors

event id 12017
an internal transport cert will expire soon

event ID 12018
the STARTTLS cert will expire soon

The only Cert that i know of on our server is the one we use for outlook anywere and OWA and this is fine and expires in 2013

What is the cert it is talking about and what happens if it expires?

Is this something that exchange 2007 has created it's self, I don't think we use TLS only ssl for our OWA?

sorry sould have stated that looking into this i have come accross articals like

but i'm still unsure of the steps to follow to renew the cert but without effecting our OWA and outlook anywere cert

Just follow the procedure that Bharat outlines in that blog post. It's the correct procedure, and only renews the cert mentioned.
