Hi,
Can anyone point me to any documentation that exlains exactly how postfix starts up. I have inherited a postfix system and am completely new to it.
I have a very very large directory under /var/spool/postfix which is where the mail queues are, and the startup program seems to be doing some sort of find command against all the directories below. I am unable to remove the large directory as it is too large and the device is crap. So I am wondering is there a way to start up postfix without processing certain queues.
Currently after the startup program running for 24 hours and still not finishing this find command Ive had to stop it.
Can anyone help, or point me in the right direction, everything Ive found so far as about how postfix works once started, I need to get before that.
Cheers
Jo
