Hello:
After log into a Fedora FC6 machine, how can I startup and display its Desktop back to my local WS? On Redhat 9 machine, I use startkde to direct KDE display back to my local WS.
Thanks.

do you mean how to start your xwindows?

try "startx"

Instead of gnome-session you can also use a very light utiltity called switchdesk. If yu do not have it
Code:
yum install switchdesk

usage:

switchdesk gnome
startx

to start gnome

switchdesk kde
startx

to start Kde
