Is there a script to check and change settings to run automatic updates on Windows XP workstations? It is for several hundred workstations. Trying to keep from touching every pc. Thanks

Try login scripts and group policies. You can set up a local windows update server to track what is needed.

The answer is "42"

google the terms "group policy windows update" and "windows software update services".

Zelandakh is right. WSUS is certainly well suited for what you're needing to do. And, it's free.
