Hi,
Is it possible to start just the application Server to deploy the EJB's in java, without aving to start the WebLogic server?

Bit vague there fella .... not really sure what you mean by "the application Server" ?

Weblogic is a J2EE server - part of which is an EJB container. So if you mean "Can you start Weblogic's EJB container without firing up Weblogic, then I seriously doubt it.

In any case why would you want to ?

Maybe you're wanting WebLogic to run 'leaner'. I'm sure it can be configured to switch-off any J2EE services which are not needed. (But if you're running EJBs then the EJB Container within the server is obviously a must).
