Having just installed Portal on a Solaris machine, one of the final routines was to start Web cache, which I attempted to start from the command line using :
...../ora9ias_portal/bin/webcachectl start
I received a message that webcache had already being started however I was unable to retrieve the appropriate portal server page. I retried by stopping and re-starting webcache but still no success.
If however I started web cache from within the Enterprise Manager portal server page this did successfully start Web cache.
Has anybody any idea why web cache does not start successfully from the command line?
