How can I avoid loading all the database when starting FoxPro ?
Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. If you are talking about loading data in the dataenvironment (DE) then you can use the NODATAONLOAD property of the cursors in your DE. If you are talking about having the database in your project then you can just remove it. I doubt you are talking about either of the above so could you explain a little more about what you mean?

The Database of an application is not automatically loaded, it requires code such as Open Database command.

Apffal,

Do you mean that VFP is opening a project on startup, and the project contains one or more database? When you open a project with the Data tab active and the Databases node expanded, the relevant database(s) will open automatically.

Possible solutions:

- As Craig says, remove the database from the project.

- Go to Tools / Options / View, and deselect "Open last project on startup".
