I have never done an ecommerce site before, and I was wondering if anyone had any general suggestions for hosting, etc. It is for a nonprofit organization, and I have to keep costs down. All I need is the ability to accept MC/V. Any suggestions would be welcome.

paypal!!!

Sometimes the Answer You Are LOOKING for can be FOUND BY SEARCHING THE FAQ'S @&%$*#!!!

When you have some cash look up Payquake for a merchant account, use Cybrhost.com as your hosting company, and get a Miva shopping cart license free through them.

Miva is outstanding. You don't have to build your own script for accepting credit cards over the web.

However these guys are right. Paypal is cheap and easy.
