Starting Default for the 501

I just purchased a new 501 and was wondering, Does the 501 block anything on the internal network. From what I gather, it lets everything out and nothing in but what about internal network traffic? Thanks.

The PIX only inspects traffic going from the inside to the outside or vice versa. It does not see traffic locally on your internal LAN.
You are correct...by default it let's everything out and nothing in.
