I will be starting my Cisco course work in the Fall at my Community College and am wondering how I should approach the course. I have saved it until my last 2 semesters before graduation in order to have as few other classes to take at the same time. I have been told I really need to know subnetting which was only barely touched on in only one of my networking core curriculum classes. Can someone give me an easy way to figure out subnetting as well as tell me how to approach the class? I will be taking Part 1 the first 8 weeks and part 2 the second with 3 and 4 in the spring semester. Many thanks for any replies

When I took a CCNA class I took it with an open mind, it was hard work as I was new to the material. But if you like it, stick with it and make sure you know what was covered before the class moves on. Tear the lab down and rebuild it several times if that's what it takes.

Or put more clearly, approach the class like it's a nice big steak.(or favored meal) The only catch is you have to do all the work before you get the reward. By the time you are done, you will know if you like it or not.
