Hey all,
So I am setting up a new ecommerce site and I am looking at verisign and authorize.net as possible gateways. are these good places to start? are their steps I should take before signing up with one of them? are their other options. this site will be used both in the US and internationally so I want to get good payment coverage. any thoughts would be helpful.

We have used both gateways for years, and have had fine success with both. Authorize.net generally comes a bit cheaper from many service providers, and my informal survey of cart software finds wider support for it than PayFlow Pro.
