problem:in ccr, path #1 is for a directory of names and ext's, as the recording of path #1 says names and ext's the caller cannot enter an ext. untill the recording is finished,How can i allow a caller to dial the extension# when they hear it rather than wait.the path type is "leave message".

You say it is a leave message path, but if it were it would immediately transfer to a mailbox. It sounds like you have it set up as an info path, which will not work for entering digits.

To do what you want the path has to be a menu.

Once you enter a ccr tree menu you must use single digit
no.s to access m boxes
I feel you may be confused as to how ccr works
AA will allow you to dial ext.#s but ccr will not

If you wish to allow callers to access ext.#s they
will have to do it in the company greeting before it
goes to the ccr tree . or your will have to use AA menu
instead of the ccr tree for callers

phtek- quote: "Once you enter a ccr tree menu you must use single digit".....this is incorrect. You can enter ext. numbers. You just cant enter them while in an info message.

No offense, but both of your posts are incorrect, that is not how CCR works. It has a timer. If you enter one digit, it will follow the CCR path. If you enter an extension it will go to the extension. The only exception to this may be if you build a tree in such manner as to have the home menu have a structure such as:
2.
2.
3.
I have not tested this particular scenario, but can speak from experience in a one or two deep structure, with 3 digit DN’s.

DOH-
Just read the title -startalk mini-:
My comments are true for flash, call pilot, and NAM, but I cant remember if they are true for startalk mini.

Anyone...Beuler

bk same is true in the mini except you can only nest to 2 levels... same as flash. your example goes 3 which is available only in the CP (don't remember about the NaM, i think its also only 2). you can dial ext ANY time as long as you don't dawdle between digits. I believe the timer is 2 secs.

AMTEL you must change your path 1 type to "menu"from "leave a message
