startalk flash ver 1.7

I need help on a startalk flash ver 1.7

When a user tries to copy a message with a comment it will not
let them record it. It tries but sops recording with in a second. This only happens inside. If they try it from the outside it works.

Sounds glitched or lacking space on drive.

If only one user has issue delete their mail box and re-create it.

Reboot might help but be prepared to re-program if caps are weak for memory.

Also doing a Re-install clears bugs at times.

If still an issue you could try upgrading to 1.9 or up if flash card is corrupt.

I am sorry I should have said that this is happening on all
mailboxes. Have tried the reset. Still problem.

Have erased and rebuilt the mailboxes and it works for about a month. The problem comes back.

If I up grade will I be able to keep the database or have to
reprogram ??

I'd suggest programming from scratch, whether you have to or not. Since it's up and running, you can back up (pen and paper) and reprogram pretty quickly.

You wouldn't want a corrupt database to carry over to the new sw.

As I recall V1.7 had some issues and wasn't all that stable. I'd recommend wiping the database and upgrade the software to at least V1.9.
