Startalk Flash Ver. 1.5 Rel. 01B not saving changes

I have a voice mail system that won't save any changes. When I change an entry, printing shows the change. After I save and end, the changes are gone. I use feature 983, login, press OTHR, CCR, ADMIN, enter tree 1. It shows TREE ENABLED. I select CHG, path: 1, select CHG, enter a different extension, press NEXT, press END, press SAVE, press QUIT.

Am I missing a step ? Does the system put out error codes I can check ?

It is trying to warn you when it says the tree is enabled (in use). Disable the tree before modifing the tree then enable the tree again. Your previous changes may be saved as tree 5. Open tree 5 and if is the correct one it can be saved as tree 1 after tree 1 is disabled.
