My church has an old NorStar and StarTalk which I don't know too much about.
Here's what's happening
*If the church secretary is not there when a call comes in you will hear a general church greeting
then it will go to a call tree
*For directions Press 1
*For the senior Pastor Press 2 etc. etc. to Press 6
*You press your selection & got to that instrument get RNA and forwards to VM
*You leave your message and hang up
What happens from there is there is no disconnect supervision and it hangs up the incoming line for up to 5 minutes
before the line releases and becomes available to receive another call. This can cause frustration for callers & the
church secretary.
If you call in and get the secretary either immediately, before any greeting or by Pressing 6, if greeting plays, and she answers, after the parties hang up the line becomes idle immediately [either called party disconnect or calling party disconnect]. It's obvious to me that there is an issue between the StarTalk and the NorStar
Any suggestions?
Doug
