Startalk Alarm RT

When i boot my startalk i get a whole pile of

Alarm RT 00086 XXXX XXXX

where xxxx is 2 sets up hex number. What is up?

I don't think anyone knows the startalk alarms any more. There are coded alarms that show up when you boot the startalk I have never paid any attention to them. If your system was in serious trouble it would more or less say so in plain language.

Is this a new install or has it been in and working and just quit? If it is new to your system, is the software compatible? What kind of Startalk is it? An old 185, or a newer Flash. And what is the KSU type and version?

You will normally get one alarm at the end of bootup which I think means there was a cold start. If you are getting alarms scrolling across the screen it usually means the hard drive has developed some bad sectors and needs to be replaced. Brian Cox

I checked this code 086,xxx,it means TCM interface is deffecive,and the suggested solution replace module.The TCM interface provides the port connections to the norstar KSU .I hope that help.

I took out the voice card and put that into another slut and it worked...
